Business Law Basics

This is an eight part course designed for corporate lawyers who are early in their career, articling students, law clerks, and lawyers practicing in other areas of the law.

Topics covered are:

  1. Corporate Structures
  2. Shareholders Agreements
  3. Corporate Reorganizations
  4. Business Transition
  5. Contracts
  6. Share and Asset Transactions
  7. Lending and Security
  8. Shareholder and Other Disputes

I used to offer this course to groups of ten students or more, but I have figured out that it is more fun (although less remunerative) to teach it to individuals or groups of two or three students. Since I retired, I try not to do things unless they are fun. (If the markets continue to go down, I may have to reconsider.)

If you are interested, please contact me by email.

The length and timing of classes as well as the depth of coverage on particular topics can all be adjusted for a particular individual or group.

Courses are delivered by Zoom. Just contact me by email to discuss.

Developing a Marketing Mindset

This is a  two hour course in which I explain how someone with no natural inclination to marketing (me) developed a very substantial client base.

This course is delivered to individuals or groups on request. Email me if you are interested.
